It’s MaryEllen’s birthday! So, last night around 2, I baked this double chocolate fudge, caramel chip, peanut butter kisses cake that surely deserves an A for effort. Cheers!

Falling Grammar

Tuesday, September 26, 2006

I officially want to punch my students in the face; is that against some code of conduct? Is there a temporary insanity clause in my contract? What if they’re like, super stupid, and one swift blow to the head would help me reach peace of mind? I just finished reading a few journals, so forgive me.

Eli, you out there? Got a special treat for you today. Here is an anonymous, yet riveting critique of your essay “Falling Room.”

Falling Room was very interesting piece of work. The writer appear to be educated, from his choice of word. At one point after reading this piece one and a haf times, I began to wonder if this was a dream. I had a dream once about about a hospital where. The girl from the psych ward was a impotent person in his life.

Eli, two bad this did'nt make the covur since a quote like this wood tripple your sales. There’s alwayz the next book, witch for the record, I will read 1 and a haf times. You’ll just have to weight. (sigh). Keep up the 'choice of word' and 'impotence,' except in the bedroom of course.

Fog

Thursday, September 21, 2006

Sorry, but you know, life is a fog sometimes. Each day, I think of something to say, but lately, it's not happening.

All I got right now is this: joggers upset me, especially when they dart past me outside the coffee house where I'm trying to smoke. Geez!!

I've sent out another bazillion submissions. I'm so sick of adjuncting and tutoring for this new online company. Some student wrote an essay on "Drugs, Sex, and Rock and Roll." I was so tempted to be like, "I like your order better. First drugs, then sex, but Rock and Roll should be happening at all times." Of course, I didn't think management would like this idea.

I pray we all obtain what we're after.

See ya soon. I'm on hiatus for a bit. If you feel the need to break up with my blog, I understand. I respond better to email these days. Drop me a line.

T.

FUCK!!! This is like a bad dream!

From Amorica.org...

To the fans: (Black Crowes Press Release)

Yesterday, The Black Crowes were notified by Marc Ford’s attorney that Marc was quitting The Black Crowes and that it was effective immediately.

The last show of The Black Crowes summer tour was on August 12, 2006. The band has since been on a three week break.

On September 5, two days before the start of the fall tour which begins on September 7, The Black Crowes attorney received a fax from Marc Ford’s attorney immediately terminating his agreement with The Black Crowes.

The contract between The Black Crowes and Marc Ford stipulates that Marc must provide twelve (12) weeks notice if he wishes to terminate the agreement.

I am not going to comment on the timing of this notification or the way Marc has elected to handle his personal and business affairs with The Black Crowes, however I will state as a matter of fact, that this is not the first time that Marc Ford has breached his agreement with The Black Crowes.

Paul Stacey will be performing with The Black Crowes during the upcoming fall tour and Chris and Rich are currently in discussions with other guitarists.

------------------
Guitarist Marc Ford of "The Black Crowes" has just blasted off to his new world ready to take on new music, new musicians, a new life and best of all, a healthy new world to perform in.

While Marc's life as guitarist for the Crowes, meant he was in his words, " a part of the most phenomenal rock and roll band ever," he has left The Black Crowes to continue on with his hard fought healthy lifestyle of sobriety.

Concerned that his health, and all the difficult work he has done to gain his longest period of sobriety ever was in jeopardy while touring, he announced his departure from the band just after Labor Day.

Tom's comment: The magic is over. He was the fire of this band. Things will never be the same.
