Is lust an emotional connection? When you think about it, emotional connections are over rated and just a ploy by the greeting card companies to get you to buy their crap. I say the govt. should ban emotional connections.
A question from last nights episode of Moment of Truth was something like--have you ever slept with someone without knowing their name? I'm assuming you have known the names of all the poeple you've slept with. Loser ;)
i hear ya on the greeting cards front. i can't tell you how many times I've been burned on Flag Day.
Mel just called to say she's happy that I have an emotional connection with her and that she's trying her best to feel one for me.

PLEASE clarify for the good people what you mean by 'mental connection' b/c sim and i have HEARD this statement before, this MISLEADING statement. if you don't straighten this out, i'll be back with direct quotes!
yes, maybe i should clarify that I'm talking more along the lines of 'mental' rather than 'emotional', as Sweet Dick and Eric clearly demonstrated that there are multiple answers.
however, our definitions of 'mental connection' are clearly up for debate.

Wtf is a mental connection? Tom Cruise's insanity with Scientology is a mental connection. Is that what you mean? Or do you mean, you finish each other's sentences while having a conversation? Which should never happen while I'm around. Gross. Or as a total coincidence, you give each other the same gift on that stupid, pointless holiday coming up that I refuse to acknowledge. Gross.
But it's so sweet when couples finish each other's sentences, like
"The bus was late so the maid forgot to put the pot roast in the oven on time so they ordered pizza instead."
God...that's when I knew.

Well, you know, some mental connections are destructive, and sometimes good sex is a result.
I was reading fast and thought it said "metal" connection-- like you're both into Iron Maiden or nipple clamps or hanfcuffs.
But now I understand, emotional connection, like:
"You like Bon Jovi?"
"I like Bon Jovi!"
"Take your pants off."
Well...to be honest, Laura. Some version of both come pretty close.
