Eric's right - love IS gross. But you guys aren't, so I'll go ahead and say CONGRATULATIONS and tell you how stoked I am for you.
My favorite thing ever is the Mel sent me an email yesterday in which she talked about The Hills for TWO FULL PARAGRAPHS (including OMG Stephen is back!) before finally getting around to the big news that, SHE'S ENGAGED. I love it. I love her. And I love both of you guys.

Holy shit!!! Congratulations!!! So happy for you two! And I'm with Daisy -- love is gross, but not when it's Tom-and-Mel-style-love. (Take that however you'd like).

Congratulations sweet peas! And love is not gross, all you people. But I may be thinking that because I'm recently engaged too. And now that I'm settling down to spend the rest of my life with one person (hold on, had to go get the brown bag for deep breathing...there, the hysteria's passed a bit) (with ONE PERSON!!!!) (Jesus) (forever!)......I sure am glad I dated half of North America. And some folks from other continents. In short, a lot of folks in all. So my advice to you love-is-gross people is this: go date! Be prolific! Sample! Kiss! Play with abandon!

Congrats, Tom! I saw Mel at writing group last week and we all toasted to the big news, but I just realized I hadn't congratulated you. And I thought, if someone told Jason something and thought it was the same as telling me, I'd be pissed. SO. Big congrats, I'm really happy for you guys.
